Climbing Mt. McKinley
Well, if you don't know where Denali is, you probably ought not
be climbing it. For those of you who are just browsing, here's
some basic information on Denali:
Denali (Mt. McKinley) is 20,320 feet (6,194m) above sea level,
is the highest point in North America, and is located between
Anchorage and Fairbanks in Alaska at a latitude of 63 Degrees
North.
The north peak was first climbed on April 3, 1910 by a group of
incredibly bold climbers lugging a 6 by 12 foot American flag
and a 14 foot spruce pole. The south peak was first climbed in
1913 by a party lead by Hudson Stuck.
